Vince Cable Launches New Entrepreneurs’ Forum 15th November 2010 Business Secretary Vince Cable has announced a new Entrepreneurs’ Forum to provide informal and personal advice on new business and enterprise policies. The announcement was made at the beginning of Global Entrepreneurship Week, seven days of events to boost enterprise and start-ups across the globe. The forum is part of the Government’s agenda to engage with business people to hear their views on unleashing enterprise and encouraging entrepreneurship as an alternative career. Here Comes Global Entrepreneurship Week 12th November 2010 Business owners attending this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week will be able to access advice to help them grow their firms and aid the economic recovery, the event’s organisers have said. From 15th to 21st November, events will take place around the UK aimed at inspiring prospective and existing business owners to take advantage of opportunities to expand. Silicon Valley comes to the UK

The National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) this week welcomes to the UK some of the biggest names from Silicon Valley as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Biz Stone, founder and CEO of Twitter, Reid Hoffman, founder and CEO of LinkedIn and Salar Kalamangar, Vice President of Google Web Applications are just some of the pioneers participating in the second ‘Silicon Valley comes to the UK’ event organised by NESTA and Cambridge University’s Judge Business School. Get involved in Enterprise Week

Aspiring entrepreneurs and businesses are being urged to get involved in this year’s Enterprise Week, the annual celebration of enterprise that aims to inspire people under 30 to turn their business ideas into reality. Taking place between 17 and 23 November, the UK’s events are part of the first ever Global Entrepreneurship Week, in which more than 75 countries worldwide are participating, with events, competitions and networking sessions. Businesses are being encouraged to run their own events to help develop creativity and enterprise in the workplace.
