As Britain gears itself up for a year of world class sport, small businesses are being urged to take inspiration from our sporting heroes by encouraging competition, following a poll showing that many embrace competition in the workplace. The report, carried out by the National Business Awards in partnership with Orange, shows that the majority of workers agree that winning is important to them, with over two thirds believing healthy competition brings out the best in people and almost 40% acknowledging that they enjoy a competitive environment at work.
