Awards Open to Firms with Exceptional IT Skills

Firms that have delivered exceptional IT projects and products are being called on to enter the UK IT Industry Awards 2010, run by the British Computing Society (BCS). The awards are open to businesses of all sizes, but include three categories specifically aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises: Small Business Project of the Year. Small IT Supplier of the Year. Small IT Department of the Year. New Website Provides Free Advice on Protecting Business Data

The Information Security Awareness Forum (ISAF) has launched a website offering free advice to firms on how to protect their business information. The website contains guidance on storing business data securely on- and off-line, and includes sections dedicated to SMEs, corporates and consumers. The site also includes links to the main sources of advice on data security on the Internet.
