Start–ups Asked to Bid in Japan Charity Auction

Start-ups are being urged to raise funds for victims of the Japanese disaster by bidding for a business-support package which contains prizes from business celebrities. The It’s Not Much campaign was set up by managing director of small business EtcEtc, Darren Leighfield, in response to the recent humanitarian crisis. Leighfield has put together a “Business Box” of prizes aimed at start-up businesses, which will be auctioned via eBay to raise funds for international disaster relief charity ShelterBox. The box aims to help start-ups get on their feet, with the contents including mentoring sessions with leading UK entrepreneurs such as Brad Burton of 4networking and former DragonRachel Elnaugh, as well as a laptop, free web design and search engine optimisation training.
