63% Of Consumers Want To See A Product Before Buying, As High Street Love Affair Remains Strong

63% of consumers want to physically see a valuable product before buying it, as the UK’s love affair with the high street continues through testing times, according to Barclays. The Barclays New Retail Reality, which surveyed 2,000 UK consumers, revealed that 24% are optimistic that physical stores will have a better offering post-Brexit, compared to just 12% who believe the opposite. 65% of respondents even want the protection of British retailers prioritised as part of Brexit negotiations – signalling how the high street has become ingrained in British culture.
