Green Small Businesses Offered £40k Shell Grants

Climate-conscious small firms have until the 5th November to pitch for a grant of up to £40,000 by entering the Shell Springboard awards. Entrants to the Shell Springboard awards are required to demonstrate that their product or service will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions or combat climate change, and that it is innovative or commercially viable. Judges will also take into consideration the likely impact that the grant will have on the project. A total grant fund of £320,000 is available in awards of £20,000 or £40,000. “Small businesses are a prolific reservoir of creative thinking on low-carbon technologies,” said Shell UK chairman, James Smith. “Shell Springboard offers no-strings financial awards to help those businesses get their ideas off the ground.” Pr... »
