Businesses Increase Regional City Travel By As Much As 230% To Visit New Enterprise Hubs

Business travel by small enterprises has increased by as much as 230% on rail routes to some cities outside of London, as a host of “new business hubs” emerge in some of the country’s more regional cities – according to a report by Trainline for Business. Brighton, sometimes referred to as the ‘silicon beach’, is revealed as having seen the most significant growth (230%), followed by Swindon (183%), Oxford (182%), Peterborough (166%) and Northampton (130%). Leamington Spa (121%) and Bristol (110%) have also witnessed a boom in small business rail travel, suggesting businesses are taking advantage of increased mobility and interconnectivity between locations, as well as lower costs.
