Firms rising costs as crime soars

Crime against businesses is on the increase and is now costing small firms an average of £13,500 a year, according to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Their revealed that 64% of small firms were victims of crime in the past year – a rise of 7% since 2006. The survey also highlighted that the sectors that experienced the highest levels of crime were hotels and restaurants, and the motor vehicle sales and repairs sector.
