EPOS (Electronic Point Of Sale)

Is EPOS for me?

EPOS systems are mainly used by businesses that have large numbers of regular sales, e.g. retail stores, hotels, bars and wholesalers.

However, if your business has lots of regular sales and many suppliers and customers who need fast, accurate product information, then EPOS can be very valuable – whatever the size of your company.

If you’re thinking about EPoS then the questions you need to ask yourself are:

  • Do you currently have a manual system in place? Would you benefit from automating the system? Would your processes be more streamlined?
  • If you do currently have a manual system, how long does it take you to keep your product list up-to-date? Would EPoS make this process quicker?
  • Do you have to produce lists and reports using your current system? Would it be easier to have an EPoS system to provide the functionality?
  • How easy is it to do month end?

EPoS systems can provide a number of functions that are either missing or very slow in traditional methods – If you want your business to be more efficient and potentially track opportunities of lines to sell then it’s worth looking at an EPoS system.
