Measures of Success

Employers who follow the simple principles set out in the guide will want to be sure that changes to their employment practices are having a positive effect.

The following list of measures does not cover everything, but it does support the advice offered by the guide.

Redundancy

  • Redundancy procedures are used that are based on business needs rather than age.
  • Employees and their representatives are involved in planning for redundancy.

Retirement

  • There is an agreed, flexible and fair retirement policy, which all workers know about.
