Business Start-Up Competition Opens Its Doors
The economic issues of the last few years have seen traditional business methods come under scrutiny and some high profile big businesses fail.
With the job market under pressure, corporates have slashed jobs and added to the already high levels of unemployment.
Looking at where future growth will come from, there appears to be less reliance on big business and a renewed focus on small businesses to kick-start the economy again.
An increasing number of start-up ventures and entrepreneurial businesses are springing up across the UK, taking people off the dole queue and generating business and welath for the country.
Against this backdrop Marketest have launched their Business Start-Up Competition to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit, giving pre-startups and startup small firms the opportunity to take their business ideas to the next level.
The Business Start-Up Competition
Anyone over the age of 18 with a new business or social enterprise idea can enter the competition. Marketest are looking for a business ideas that have a real market potential.
Entrants will be required to provide an analysis of their business plan such as Unique Selling Point (USP), SWOT analysis etc but will not be expected to produce too much detail just yet.
According to recent statistics, around 90 percent of start-up businesses fail within the first five years of opening their doors and Marketest are offering the winner of the competition a £1,000 tailored market research package.
The runner up will also receive a tailored market research package to the value of £500.
The deadline for the Business Start-Up Competition is Sunday 12th May and Marketest’s panel of experts will draw up an initial shortlist of finalists before announcing the winner on Thursday the 30th of May.
