Business In You - Free Educational sessions on business financeThe Business In You campaign, which saw a number of successful free educational sessions in October last year, has planned more events.

The last sessions, which ran in October last year, were attended by business owners, enterepreneurs and investors. and looked at the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) and other topics relating to business finance.

The next round of sessions will take place ove the next few weeks. The dates are:

Tuesday 19th February – Oxford, The King’s Centre.

A four hour workshop from 09:30 to 13:30

Thursday 21st February – Reading, Town Hall.

Another four hour morning workshop, from 09:30 until 13:30

Tuesday 5th March – London, The Emmanuel Centre

A morning session from 09:30 to 13:30 and another session in the afternoon from 14:30 to 18:30

All the Business In You sessions will feature talks from entrepreneur Doug Richard and Jeff Lynn of Seedrs amongst others.

Subjects covered will include raising and investing money, busienss angels, online angels, peer-to-peer loans, startup loans, invoice trading and working capital.

Each session will include a panel discussion and a Q&A section.

Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme

Small businesses have already taken off due to funding from the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) including G’Nosh the gourment dip company.

Charlotte Knight, the founder of G’Nosh, targetted her products at high-end stores and needed funding to achieve this goal. As an ex-banker, Charlotte looked at sources alternative finance and secured funding through SEIS.
