Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012
Next week sees another visit of the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign.
Taking place from Monday the 12th to Sunday the 18th November, Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012 takes place in 115 countries across the globe.
The initiative is run by Youth Business International, a worldwide network of schemes that work to get young entrepreneurs to realise their business ambitions, and sponsored Barclays.

2012’s GEW aims to pass on practical business advice to those budding entrepreneurs and early-stage startups who need to get their foot on the ladder.
The week will see a number of events across the UK work to this end with everything from school competitions to networking, education courses and workshops.
In Southampton, Regents Park Community College is staging a £2 Challenge for its students with each team member being given £2 with which to start a business and turn a profit by the end of the week. 50% of the profits made will go to school charities.
At the other end of the country in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Burnside Business Centre will be holding a workshop for startups wishing to create a business plan, covering every aspect of business planning from the process to presenting the finished business plan.
Armchair enthusiasts are being encouraged to take part in Global Entrepreneurship Week form their home or office by joining in on social media channels.
On facebook there’s facebook.com/GlobalEntrepreneurshipWeekUK with a poll about what entrepreneurs are looking for businesspeople to pass on to them; so far the UK’s young entrepreneurs are looking for contacts and resources…
There are also a number of webinars and other virtual events where those interested in starting their own ventures can take part. One great event will be happening on "Think Thursday" when the Global Brainstorm takes place live at 2:30pm GMT. The theme of the live show will be "What do YOU need to know in order to succeed?" and expects to spur-on young people.
