Mums and Dads Compete in the Mumpreneur Awards 2012
Start-up business-owners who are juggling running a firm and looking after a family full-time are being called on to enter the Mumpreneur Awards 2012 and have their achievements publicised.
Organised by business support network Mumpreneur UK, award categories include:
- Start Up
- Online Business
- Green Business
- Supporting Business
- International Trader
- Mumpreneur Product and the
- Inspirational Business Mum award.
The Dadpreneur award is open to dads who juggle running a business with looking after a family.
Entrants are required to complete a 600-word online form outlining the challenges they have overcome, their plans for growth and how they’ve managed their work-life balance.
“We encourage all mums in business to enter the awards, as everyone can benefit from local press through simply a nomination,”
aid a Mumpreneur UK spokesperson.
Last year’s Best Start Up winner was Maxine Lewis of Gander Kids, who received recognition for securing distribution rights from P’kolino to bring a variety of children’s toys to the UK market.
The deadline for entries is 27 July and the awards will be presented at the Mumpreneur Conference on 30 September.
