Win a Year’s Mentoring with Dragon Deborah Meaden
Small-business owners with ambitious development plans can win a year’s free mentoring with Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden, following the launch of the Local Business Accelerators competition.
The competition is part of the Local Business Accelerators (LBA) scheme organised by the Newspaper Society, and is open to all businesses which are active in their local communities, and are between one and three years old.
The LBA scheme is a partnership between local newspapers and business leaders to boost local enterprise. Under the initiative, 500 regional newspapers will select three local businesses to receive three months of free advertising and local business mentoring support. The Newspaper Society and Deborah Meaden will then review all the regional winners and select one overall champion.
“In this age of enterprise it has never been more important to drive awareness about the value of local marketing for a fledgling business, which is why I’m so proud to support Local Business Accelerators and help build thriving and industrious communities,” said Deborah Meaden.
The equivalent of £15 million worth of free advertising will be given to the very best of what the organisers term "fledgling businesses", so if your small business is between one and three years old then you can enter the Local Business Accelerators scheme. The deadline for entries is 14 November 2011.
