Saturday Club: Entrepreneurs Start-up Training
Would-be business owners can access Saturday morning training to help get their business ideas off the ground, following the launch of Start Up Saturday by Enterprise Nation.
The Start Up Saturday classes will be held in office supplies retailer Staples’ stores, and run jointly by small-business support network Enterprise Nation and training providers CragRats. Initially the classes will take place in seven stores ? Crawley, Gateshead, London, Milton Keynes, Poole, Sheffield and Telford ? before being rolled out nationwide in June across all 138 UK shops.
The training will run for 12 weeks and cover topics ranging from establishing the viability of business ideas, to finance and marketing on a shoestring.
“We know there’s a wealth of talent out there and that all people need is a kick- start, which is what this initiative is all about,” said Enterprise Nation founder, Emma Jones. “The course will be fun and hopefully lead to financial reward and a flexible working life.”
Each training session will start at 9.30am Saturdays and will last an hour. Students will receive a course book which includes start-up advice, case studies and tips.
Individual classes cost £10 and the full 12-week course costs £100.
