Search is on for UK’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2010
UK entrepreneurs are being urged to showcase their start-up talent by entering a top business award.
Head of Marketing at Staples Yetunde Ige said:
“Hard-working entrepreneurs are increasingly becoming more and more critical to the success of the UK economy. With the digital age upon us, there has never been more opportunity out there for motivated self-starters.”
“We want to hear from people who have set up dynamic businesses by overcoming hurdles, finding innovative ways to navigate the current economic climate and above all, who are passionate about what they do.”
Last year businessman Mark Needham became the UK’s top entrepreneur for his ability to spot trends and build a successful business on the back of innovation.
Mark, who set up Widget UK, said:
“We were delighted to have our entrepreneurial talents marked in this way. There is an element of luck involved in spotting trends but as has been observed, those who work the hardest tend to get luckiest.”
All regional winners will go through to the national finals to be in with a chance to collect the ‘winners of winners’ award for the most outstanding business achievement across the board – and its £50,000 prize.
The regional winners will be announced in September, followed by the national awards ceremony at London’s Hurlingham Club on November 25. To enter the awards online go to www.chamberawards.co.uk and for any further information you can contact the Chamber on 024 76 47 2593 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The closing date for entries is June 25.
