Free Expert Advice at Small Business Week
Free advice clinics, seminars and podcasts about current business issues are among the dozens of items on the agenda for Small Business Week from 19th to 23rd October.
Sponsored by BT, the week is aimed at helping small firms overcome difficulties such as cashflow shortages or problems with their online marketing.
During the week, firms can tune in to a range of web seminars and attend workshops across the UK, covering topics from bookkeeping and marketing, to customer service and tendering for contracts.
The first web seminar will take place on 19th October at 10.30am, and will address the findings of BT’s 2009 Business Pulse survey and the main issues affecting UK small firms.
Dragons’ Den star and leading UK entrepreneur, Peter Jones, will be on the web seminar panel, answering businesses’ questions alongside former CBI director general Lord Digby Jones, and experts from BT, Business Link, the Prince’s Trust, ACCA, the Carbon Trust and Everywoman.
Other events scheduled to take place during the week include:
- “Top 20 Email Marketing Tips” in Lincolnshire on 20th October
- Creating an Innovative Culture” in Telford on 20th October
- “Business Finance Options — Surviving the Downturn” in Chippenham on 22nd October
“These events have been specifically designed to discuss the issues currently facing small businesses in the UK and offer solutions to issues such as technology investments, online marketing and making the most of the recession,” said BT spokesman, Mark Walsh.
