Search is on for the UK’s greenest office
The UK office that does the most to reduce its environmental impact can compete to win a range of green-related prizes, following the launch of the Greenest Office awards run by carbon offsetting business co2balance.
Organised in conjunction with IT supplier Cartridge World, the competition is open to offices from any sector that are exceptional in their recycling efforts or have introduced other environmentally-friendly measures such as green travel policies.
The overall winner will be able to use the award logo in their marketing material, as well as receiving a year’s supply of printer cartridge refills, a laptop and a free Carbon Footprint Assessment and accreditation from co2balance.
Entrants are required to submit a 200-word overview describing their efforts to reduce waste and increase recycling. They should also give information about other environmental policies they have in place, how long these have been active, and any figures that they have to back these up.
The size and resources of entrants will be taken into consideration so that small firms and large firms have an equal chance of winning.
“Many businesses have initiated environmental practices,” said Cartridge World general manager, Mark Holland. “The Greenest Office awards are a great opportunity to champion those that have successfully lowered their carbon footprint, and a chance to encourage other companies to follow suit.”
The deadline for entries is 30 September.
