International Business Month Helps SMEs Expanding Abroad
Small-business owners who are considering expanding overseas will be able to get face-to-face advice from experts during UK Trade & Investment’s (UKTI) International Business Month in June.
According to UKTI, the month will help new and inexperienced exporters through conferences, seminars, networking events and training days – many of which will be free of charge – at locations nationwide.
“International Business Month provides an ideal chance for both new and experienced exporters to explore the many opportunities available in overseas markets and find out about the support on offer through UK Trade & Investment to help them succeed,” said UKTI international trade director David Coppock.
“The events we have put together reflect some of the key business areas for exporters, and we hope that by attending them new and experienced traders alike will gain valuable insights as to how to maximise their potential,” he added.
Small firms attending the events will receive advice on specific areas of opportunity in high-growth countries such as China, as well as opportunities in sectors such as healthcare and life sciences.
The free seminar sessions UKTI has scheduled so far include:
- Doing Business in Singapore and Malaysia (5 June, Bristol).
- International Ports Seminar (5 June, Liverpool).
- Get ready and set to win new business (19 June, London).
- Real Advice Forum: Planes, Trains and Automobiles (23 June, Norwich).
- Opportunities in Hong Kong and China (25 June, Durham).
